Kamerad does mean Comerade - it doesn't mean 'I surrender'

In fact most german soldiers knew how to say: 'I surrender' in different languages - thanks to the 'infopaper' with which they were 'bombed' by Allied Planes, or which they heard in the enemys radioshows.
